Welcome to Kibikaku. By using our website and services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
Kibikaku is a flashcard platform using spaced repetition to help users memorize kanji writing. The service is provided "as is" and intended for educational purposes.
We offer four types of plans:
Free Plan: Includes the JLPT N5 kanji deck, which you can study and whose daily limits you can adjust. Creating, deleting or editing decks and cards requires a Pro plan.
Monthly Plan: Unlimited cards/decks, all JLPT decks (N5 to N1) and user statistics.
Annual Plan: Unlimited cards/decks, all JLPT decks (N5 to N1) and user statistics.
Lifetime Plan: Unlimited cards/decks, all JLPT decks (N5 to N1) and user statistics.
Payments are processed securely via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your chosen payment method on a recurring basis.
Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription's automatic renewal at any time through your Account Settings. You will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. Once the period ends, your account will automatically revert to the Free Plan. Your decks and cards are not deleted, but only your first deck and the first 50 cards of your own decks remain accessible until you upgrade again.
Refunds: All fees are non-refundable except where required by law (such as the 7-day withdrawal right under Brazilian Law for users in Brazil). We do not provide refunds for partial subscription months or years.
Account: You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe.
Prohibited Use: You agree not to use bots, scrapers, or automated systems to access the service. You may not attempt to reverse engineer the platform or bypass our card limits.
User Content: You own the cards you create, but you grant us a license to store them on our servers (via Supabase) so you can access them.
The Kibikaku name, logo, code, and original designs are the intellectual property of the project owner. You may not copy or redistribute any part of our software or branding.
JLPT decks: The premade JLPT kanji decks use data from KANJIDIC2 (Electronic Dictionary Research and Development Group, licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0). The JLPT level lists are based on Jonathan Waller's JLPT Resources (tanos.co.uk, licensed under CC BY).
While we strive for excellence, we do not guarantee that your study will lead to specific results. We are not liable for any data loss, service interruptions, or errors within the platform.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may also delete your account at any time, which will result in the immediate removal of your study data.
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the project owner's jurisdiction (São Paulo, Brazil).
